That was roughly how far I got before things got weird

The idea was to take aesthetics from Wattpad and Archive of Our Own (AO3) to create a fan site for fanfiction. Those two are where I read the most, and each have their aesthetic pros and cons. Though I will say I wouldn't reccommed Wattpad to anyone is they asked. I liked that fics on Wattpad have covers. It makes navigating though a bunch of fics easier. That and I perfer the layout of someone's profile on Wattpad since it's more intuitive. But other than that, AO3 is all around the better site.

Then you would be able to click on the cover or the title of it underneath, to take you to that page. The purple bar is similar to the layout of AO3, but instead of red it's purple for flavor. Then each section would go into their respective topics.

I wanted to make a site about what fanfic means to me and my persnoal experience with it. I figured I would have to explain what fanfic is and the terms I use that come from fandom culture. That would be it's own page, giving a brief overview but also having a fanfic dictionary of sorts as well. Though I realized that I would be spendng a lot of time providing context to the main concept of the project and I always struggle with that. I make a lot of personal work and while I understand that it's important to communicate that to an audience so they can fully understand my work, sometimes I feel that I'm spending too much time providing context that the meaning gets diluted. On the other hand, I know that if I don't then no one will understand what the hell I'm trying to say. Does that make me a bad artist? It sure makes me feel like one.
